Effective January 1, 2024, SB 476 in California requires employers to pay for the costs associated with the training and testing for Food Handlers Card & Certificates. In addition to paying for the costs associated with the food handlers card training and testing, the employer must pay the employee for the time associated with the training and testing (2 hours of paid leave).

What if we told you that FoodHandlerClasses.com/california already has pre-existing program features that make these new requirements much easier to navigate?

Here are 4 key features that EduClasses’® FHC® Food Handler Classes Training Program for California, at https://www.foodhandlerclasses.com/california/, streamlines these new expectations under SB 476 for Food Handlers for 2024 and moving forward:

  1. Bulk Ordering

FHC® offers an easy-to-use group ordering system that will allow you to purchase group orders for your Food Handlers, making it easier to keep up with your training costs and gives you better management control over the training process. Our Bulk Order System also supports Management Sharing so that you may share the details of the bulk order with a different member of management at a different location. Upon successful course completion, you will also be able to view, print, or download a digital copy of each certificate that has been issued under your bulk order.

  1. Bulk Discounts

Orders made with a minimum of 5 courses will unlock our bulk order discount. On bulk orders of 5 or more courses, you will receive 10% off! Need 100 courses? Get $100 off! Need 500 courses? Get $500 off! We accept payment in card or check by mail. Currently, qualifying orders will receive hand written thank you cards along with exclusive promotion codes specifically for bulk purchasers and bulk orders. If 10% off sounds great, imagine 20%!

  1. Time to Complete

From the date of your bulk order, your access codes will be available for 6 months and may be extended after expiration depending on the circumstances. Once a course has been redeemed or purchased onto a student’s account, the student will have 60 days to complete the course. The training program takes around 1.5-2 hours to study the course material and complete the test.

  1. Corporate Portal

The EduClasses® family of websites provide our corporate clients with the convenience of a corporate account to manage pre-paid (bulk order) codes, and we can host custom learning portals for companies with employees that need their California RBS Alcohol Seller Server training at https://sellerserverclasses.com/california/, Food Handler Safety Training Certificate, or Certified Food Manager Training with FMC® Food Managers Certification, www.FoodManagersCertification.com. No matter the size of your business, if you manage the safety training and certification of multiple employees, we can provide an easy-to-use solution through a custom corporate training portal.
